Morgans and National Show Horse:

Morgan Horses

All Morgan horses date back to a US foundation sire called Figure in 1789. Figure was owned and bred by a man called Justin Morgan - now famous as the founder of the breed.

The Morgan's incredible trotting ability made it a fabulous carriage horse and harness racer. It was also used by the US cavalry as a favoured mount and by the Pony express due to its speed, agility and endurance. It is a beautiful versatile little horse with lots of presence and a very trainable nature. The Morgan Horse is an amazing all round sports horse which has excelled in every discipline.

National Show Horses

National show horses are a relatively new breed (Registry started in 1981) which combines both top Arabian and American Saddlebred bloodlines to produce a superb horse with the flair and animation of the Saddlebred and the endurance and refinement of the Arabian. They have a high stepping action which can be exaggerated with training which makes them very popular in the show ring.

National show horses come in a variety of colours but it is the pinto colouring that is known to command a higher price.
